Varsity Softball · Jackson County Softball Now Dominating Region!!!!

Tuesday night was one heck of a game against the school down the road! The Panthers Softball Team traveled to Jefferson Softball Fields to take on the Dragons in a region game. Going into the game, the Lady Panthers were pretty confident, but didn’t want that to affect how they play the game. It took a couple innings for the girls to get in their groove, but once they got in it, they couldn’t stop.

Throughout the game, there were multiple plays that got the whole Panther side hype. Abby Harrell made a good hit to get to first base or Blayne Dowdie hit an easy pop up that was dropped by the pitcher, allowing Sara Beth Allen to tie the score and bases to be loaded.

In the 5th inning, Sara Beth Allen was on second base and Whitney Hulsey on first base. Peri Foster came up to bat, determined to change the score. She found a pitch she liked and when she hit it, we all knew it was  A DINGER!!!! She was able to bring Sara Beth Allen and Whitney Hulsey home, making the score 5-2 . This was definitely the point when the Panthers knew they had the game wrapped up. The final score had the Lady panthers winning 5-2.

After the game, the Lady Panthers are now running the region in first place! Come out tonight to see the Lady Panthers take on Hart County at 6 at HOME in another region game!!
