On Friday, April 26th the Panthers competed in region finals for Track and Field. In order to make it to finals, the athlete had to place top 8 in their respective event. Then, if they placed top 4 in their event during finals, they will move on to sectionals which is on May 4th

For the boy athletes, Sophomore James Elder ran a 15.76 in the 110m hurdles, only being beaten out by Eli Morris, who holds the national fastest 110m hurdles time. Dawson Miller and Russell Hendley both ran in the 3200 finals, placing 4th and 9th respectively.

For the girls, Madison Miller was the REGION CHAMPION  in region for the 400m with a time of 1:02.71. She also qualified for sectionals in the 200m, with a 4th place finish and a time of 27.09. Senior Jaycie Ponce also qualified in the 400m, earning third place with a 1:02.98. Jaycie also placed third in the 800m with a time of 2:34.88. Senior Hazel Allen also punched her ticket to sectionals, placing 3rd in the 3200m with a time of 13:35.
